Jackson Hole Anglers
Fishing Report
July 01, 2009
The Jackson Hole Anglers Fly Fishing Report is updated
often throughout the season. Please check here regularly
for current fishing conditions, what the trout are feeding on,
and flies to use.
Green River:
HOORAY!!!! The Green River is fishing great!
The water is still a bit high and tea colored, but there are
bugs everywhere and the fish are eating. Throughout the
day there are hatches of Yellow Sallies, Gray Drakes, Caddis,
and even the occasional Salmon Fly. There are fish
feeding on the surface in the slower back eddies. The
biggest fish are aggressively striking streamers. It's
go time people, come on out and fish the Green.
Snake River:
Blown out with high water. Some should start clearing
in the next few weeks.
Snake River Tributaries:
Most tribs are still too high and muddy to fish. This
changes each day now, so as you drive around you may find some
clear enough to fish. Stones and Caddis are the way to
go if you find fishable water.
Flat Creek:
Flat Creek is currently closed. It will re-open
August 1, 2009.
Firehole River:
The Firehole has slowed a bit but is still fishing OK.
Cloudy days are the best here as they will bring out
emergences of BWOs and PMDs as well as Caddis.
Jackson Hole Anglers guides fishing trips on all of the
above rivers. We offer both fly fishing and spin fishing
trips on many waters in the Jackson Hole area and throughout
western Wyoming. Give us a call for an unforgettable
