How It Works
- Give us a call and we'll walk you through the details, answer your questions, and help you choose your dates. Once you're booked, we'll send you a full packing list so you're ready for a few nights in the backcountry.
- On the morning of your trip, we'll meet at a designated spot in Jackson and drive together to the Upper Green River — about a two-hour scenic drive through western Wyoming.
- Once you're settled at camp, the days are yours. Fish the Green River and Green River Lakes with your dedicated JHA guide, ride horses through the mountains, or simply take in one of the most remote and beautiful settings in the West. Your guides handle all meals at camp, so there's nothing to worry about except enjoying the experience.
- At the end of your trip you will drive back to Jackson and rest up from the truly western adventure that is the upper green river.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does pricing work for groups?
This trip is priced at $775 per person per day, so the structure is per guest rather than per boat. Group sizes are flexible and the camp can accommodate multiple anglers and riders. Please call directly to discuss arrangements for larger parties or specific date requests.
Will we be fishing the same waters every day?
Your time at camp moves between the spectacular Green River Lakes and float fishing on the Green River itself. You can also step away from the rod to ride horses through the Wind River Mountains. Your guides help match each day's activity to conditions and your group's preferences.
What happens if the weather turns bad?
The Wind River Mountains share Jackson Hole's high desert climate, where prolonged rain is uncommon and brief showers tend to move through quickly. A reliable rain layer keeps the trip on track in most conditions. Larger storms may prompt schedule adjustments, coordinated with your guide on site.
What clothing should we pack?
Bring closed toed footwear for riding horses and walking around camp.
What's an appropriate tip for the guide and camp staff?
Your guides, wranglers, and camp cook handle a long list of duties on this trip, from preparing meals to saddling horses to putting you on fish. Tipping isn't required, though the customary guideline mirrors a restaurant standard of around 20% of the trip cost. Adjust the amount to reflect your experience.
How does cancellation work for overnight trips?
A 50% deposit is charged at booking, with the remaining balance billed to your card one week before the trip. Cancellations made earlier than one week out are refundable minus an $40 per person fee. No refunds are issued for cancellations within one week of the trip.
How long is the trip?
Most people do this trip as a 2 day adventure but longer stays allow you to really settle into camp life.
