How It Works

  • Pick your Dates and Make your reservation online or over the phone, whatever works best for you.
  • If you have already gotten your fishing license  (a link will be provided in your confirmation email),  we will head straight to the river.
  • After rigging up the rods and the boat we will hit the water. If you are new to fishing, our expert (and very patient) guides will give you all of the instruction you need. Then it's on to Catching Fish!!!
  • Our day is spent floating down the river, fishing from the boat as well as stopping on shore to work good spots. We have snacks and drinks on the boat, and on full day trips we stop for a delicious lunch.
  • At the end of the day we will load up the truck and drive you back to your hotel, where you can rest up for the next day's adventure.
  • Our company is small and therefore very flexible and more than happy to customize your trip to fit your needs.

Pricing Explanation

  • 1–2 anglers

One boat reserved exclusively for your group at the standard trip rate.

  • 3 anglers

The right setup depends on your group. In some cases a third person can join one boat for an additional fee; in others, two boats makes more sense. Give us a call and we'll sort out the best option for your party.

  • 4+ anglers

We run multiple boats simultaneously so everyone fishes together. Pricing scales per boat — reach out and we'll put together the right setup for your group size.

What's Included

Start your day with a guided wildlife tour led by experienced naturalists, followed by a fully outfitted afternoon of fly fishing on the Snake River. Your trip includes all necessary gear, transportation, and guidance for both experiences.

We recommend bringing layered clothing for early morning conditions, comfortable footwear, and a valid fishing license. Sunglasses and a camera are also great additions for wildlife viewing. Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can three guests join the fishing portion together?

Each boat holds two anglers plus a guide. For groups of three, the right setup depends on your specific party. In some cases a third person can join one boat for an additional fee, and in others two boats makes more sense. We sort this out on a case-by-case basis to make sure everyone is comfortable on the water. Give us a call and we'll walk you through the options and exact pricing for your group.

  • Will we be told which Snake River section we're floating?

Your afternoon takes place on the Snake River, with your guide selecting the specific section based on water conditions and fish activity that day. We have access to over 40 miles of the river, so something is always fishing well. Specific stretch requests are welcome at booking.

  • Will rain interrupt the day?

Greater Yellowstone weather often brings short showers rather than steady rain, so a packable rain layer typically keeps both the wildlife tour and the float on schedule. We rarely cancel for weather. A genuine all-day storm in the forecast is the only thing that triggers a rescheduling discussion.

  • What should we wear for the early start and afternoon float?

The sunrise tour means cool early temperatures, often dramatically cooler than the afternoon, so layered clothing is essential. Pack a warm shell, fleece, hat, and gloves for the morning, with lighter pieces for the river hours. Wear footwear that can handle a step into the water.

  • Where can we use restrooms during the day?

The wildlife tour route generally passes near vault toilets and trailhead facilities for the morning portion. River put-ins and take-outs typically have outhouses for the afternoon float. Between stops, your guide will pull over at a private spot along the bank if needed, with toilet paper on hand.

  • How does the cancellation policy work?

Booking your trip requires a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance auto-charged to your card 72 hours before the start date. Cancel more than 72 hours out and the deposit is refundable, less a $40 per boat fee. Cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable.

  • How long is the trip?

Our trips are listed as “Up to 8.5 hours” to give you maximum flexibility. Most groups spend several hours exploring, relaxing, and enjoying the experience at their own pace.
